Everythings backside & upwards all over

Why is it that the truth has become radical? Why is it that speaking your opinion is not fashionable or protected? Why is discourse now suddenly discouraged? Why is over spending acceptable? Why is budgeting unreasonable? Why is failed radical socialism the rage? Why is capitalism and freedom the failed enemy? Why are property rights so yesterday? Why are legal rights an obstruction? Why are morals hate mongering? Why is good judgment relative? Why are standards not acceptable? Why is it that our enemies are now our friends and highly esteemed? Why are bond holders bad and not approved of? Why is private industry and business the driver of the economy and government revenue hated? Why is personal innovation now the business of government? Why do union's of the government need to be protected from that very same government? Why do I pay taxes to an inefficient government for something I or a charity can do more efficiently and faster? Why is government telling us we need more regulation when they can't do the job of enforcing the regulations we already have in place? Why are animals inherently good and people are inherently bad? Why is prosperity that gives us the ability to provide a better environment looked down upon, but Castro and dirty socialist republics are looked up to in reverence? Why is it that the most advance and innovational systems are the problem but we need to stop and retard ourselves to the cave man times to lower our carbon footprint?

There are too many things that are just plain bassackwards these days.

Great Depression do over!

How different is this depression than all the rest? How different is it than the Great Depression? Different and yet the same! Once again it is caused by government. What causes retraction? Simply lack of trust. Man has a natural inclination to grow.

This recession actually grows because there were policies in place that caused it to go into a downward spiral. With the implementation of Sarbanes Oxley in recent years to deal with corruption like Enron... The congress implemented changes to our accounting systems and thus a change to valuation of our assets. With the constant mark to market rules implemented thru SO we got a constantly devaluing book value of assets. With declining market values the banks books we have to keep recapitalizing to cover the Feds requirements for loan leverage ratios. In effect the same thing that caused the great depression. Instead of calling in loans like we had in the great depression, which effectively forced money out of the economy and causing a downward spiral and loss of wealth. We have the same issue just caused by distrust first and then a revaluing or lowering of asset values on loans. This time it has happened so quickly because of the mark to market which caused the banks have to keep deleveraging to add more money to the bank balances to cover fed ratios. In effect a margin call on the banks. Without a change to the rules that allow banks to stop delevering their book balances we will continue to have a problem. We will continue to have a problem.

This Guy Wrote the Budget! We are in Trouble!

Peter Orzag's Budget. I saw these 2 interviews with John Stewart. This guy seems like one of those intellectual types that thinks he knows it all. It's kind of interesting but I think it is what he doesn't say that tells a lot. The fact that Stewart softball's him and doesn't really make him explain the budget is really scary. People think this is real news. He's not giving us the whole story. Tell me what you think.

Lost Newspapers

There seems to be a missing part of coverage
from our newspapers. Do they lack a team of writers
to cover what is obviously happening in America.

There seems to be a cover up or negation and/or and hiding of stories from readers about the management of our country. How our country has turned it's back on the principles that it was founded upon. In fact, I bet there isn't anyone on staff who has much background or who can give us a historical perspective to the changes we are seeing now and tell what's not being told. If you are wondering why the papers are struggling it might be that there are many of us who
feel there is a lack of coverage that is meaningfully discussing our countries lack of education about what really made it great and not what it does or doesn't do in the worlds view. In short, there is little that appeals to me in what has become your paper and not ours. Sad. Our country was founded under principles of personal responsibility and freedom of choice. There was no freedom of religion or freedom of choice in this world. Only here. We deserve better coverage and more respect in your stories. How about creating a section in your paper that teaches people about our heritage as a country and the difference we already make as a beacon for the
world. If we don't start championing our freedom and education to future generations then we risk losing it for everyone everywhere.

Who's responsible for Freddie and Fannie Mess?

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122212948811465427.html
I keep getting asked this and wanted to share it. Most are confused. We are so down the road to trying to resolve this problem but haven't yet dealt with the culprits who are running the show still and giving us more of what caused the problem in the first place. Getting out of this will require tough choices and a need for those responsible to be removed from over site of the issue. They are just covering up their tracks with obfuscation. They say its complicated because getting out of the mess you caused is like lying and trying to keep the lie covered up. Yes, very difficult. Stop it!

Florescent Light Bulb Fiasco

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/28/business/energy-environment/28bulbs.html

An example of what's seriously wrong with letting them dictate what's best for you.

I can't wait to see what they do for GM and their greening of GM and Chrysler.

Meanwhile, the government has mandated a ban on incandescent bulbs. I guess we will
soon we will all be criminals for simply turning on our lights. Cause the caveman
days were so much better. I guess when we go back to using torches they will be happy....
Oh, right, no carbon based energy. That's not environmentally friendly either.
